Mattison Shirley Quinn is a textile designer whose work focuses on felting, textiles, fine art, and pattern design.
Mattison attended Savannah College of Art & Design, and received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree with a specialization in Fibers. Her creations are unique and bold as seen through her explorations with felt and pattern design.

A Closer Look...
Growing up in Rhode Island, I have always looked to nature as an abundant source of inspiration. From the rocky coastline to the illuminating summer sunsets, it is a place that is embedded in my roots. My work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the nature and environment I live in.
I have been able to acheive this through my explorations with felting. Working with felt is something I have always loved to explore and have continued to develop new techniques. Having a painting background, I have found that making felt holds many of the same properties. Felting to me is like making my own watercolor painting, by building the layers and combining colors to create something almost unexpected.
